Our
training is a two-part session that covers both an in-depth
theory and a practical-approach where participants of the
training get a chance to interact with all the elements of
profitable poultry production.
The
training aids participants to conceptualise and learn from
our over 10 years of expertise in poultry production on how
all the best production practices that they cover during the
theory part is practically applied at the poultry farm.
Part
1: Theory Training
Our theory training is conducted online
through interactive videos that the participants watch and
learn all the theory necessary that outlines the best poultry
production practices that MUST be applied to guarantee a profitable
venture.
Training participants are allowed 5-days of covering the theory
part prior to the practical training that is conducted on
the 6th day of the training.
Part
2: Practical Training
During
this 2nd part of the training, participants are required to
physically attend a hands-on training session that is hosted
at our poultry production farm at Muchatha Town along Banana
Raini road - Kiambu County.
This practical training involves a physical demonstration of
various poultry production aspects that are undertaken at our
farm including:-
- Brooding
of chicks at the brooder section of our farm.
- Production
of poultry feed for the chicken.
- Slaughter
operations and a guide on how to process, package, market
and sell chicken for meat and eggs.
- Housing
of chicken incuding a live demonstration of our poultry housing
section.
- Disease
control and management through adoption of various disease
control approaches as outlined in the theory.
- Record
keeping and general farm management e.g. labour management,
stock management
We
organise this training on a frequency of atleast once a month
and the training is open to any member of the public keen on
venturing into poultry farming to attend.
